Millbry Hill Visits S.A.R.A, Saltburn Animal Rescue Association ...

Here at Millbry Hill, our staff have been collecting donations to take to a local animal sanctuary and today we went to drop off all of our goodies ...

..
.
S.A.R.A was started by Anne Prosser and a group of her friends, they wanted to ensure that animals were given a safe place to live until they get their second chance at life.
All the animals here at S.A.R.A are provided with all the highest quality care as their welfare is the most important thing.
Upon arrival, we unloaded all of the goodies and thought we would let some of the residents inspect them. This is when we met the lovely Pepper the Greyhound and Doris the Patterdale.
..
...
Both on their best behaviour, we grabbed some quick pics and had a chat, gave them some TLC and little Doris decided that she had a new favourite toy and didnt want to leave it behind. We made sure Doris got to take this back with her, I mean could you say no to this gorgeous little face?!
...
...
S.A.R.A is also home to several Cats and Rabbits, so there was quite a few characters to meet.
...
....
We then went on to take a tour of the Cat and Rabbit area. In the middle of the living quarters, the staff have built a 'Catio' so that the cats can get as much outdoor time as they need whilst still being safe. Inside the 'Catio', the cats have a variety of items to climb on and explore and the staff have been really inventive in making this as interesting as possible for the cats.
..
...
All of the cats here get to take a turn going out into the 'Catio', so after paying them some attention, we decided to visit the other cats and say hello. The kittens were certainly fun to meet.

...
When meeting the lovely girls at the centre, it's very obvious to see how much they all love and care for the animals, all of the hard work and dedication that they put into making sure the animals are comfortable and happy.
...
...
The centre has a room that they use to replicate a livingroom, so when you go to meet a dog and you want to see what its like in that environment, you can pop in and just sit and spend some time with it.
...
...
They have also created an onsite Sensory Garden so that the dogs can experience new sights and smells and explore.
...
...
Our mutual favourite dog of the day goes is the stunning Layla. She was the last dog that we met but she has left a lasting impression on us. Layla is gentle, kind and timid with the most lovely brown eyes.  Shes not had the greatest of pasts, like alot of other animals in the shelter but you can tell she has alot of love to give to the right family.
...
...
We want to encourage everyone to adopt and not shop to help give animals their well deserved second chance at a better life.
All donations at the centre are greatly appreciated as the animals are always in need of food, toys, bedding and treats.
