For greatest benefit it should be fed as soon as possible after birth, preferably within the first six hours, although weak lambs may benefit from Volostrum up to 48 hours after birth.

When using the Volostrum as a supplement mix at the rate of 25g of powder with 50ml of warm water at 40 degrees C. When using as a natural alternative to Colostrum mix at the rate of 50g of Lamb Volostrum powder with 100ml of warm water at 40 degrees C.
Due to the high protein content Lamb Volostrum, you will need to whisk thoroughly for a minimum of 30 seconds to ensure an even mix. The Lamb should be encouraged to take the entire feed as soon as possible after birth and preferably within the first 6 hours.
For small lambs you should administer half the feed as soon as possible and the remainder within the first 6 hours of life.
