Golden coal heat logs from Durham Heat Logs are a 100% renewable biomass fuel suitable for open fires, wood burners, multi fuel stoves, Rayburn and Aga stoves. They can also be used on chimneas or could be used on a camp fire.

Golden Coal Heat Logs are carbon neutral to the atmosphere so they do not contribute to global warming whatsoever making them an environmentally friendly fuel source. The briquettes are made from compressed sawdust and wood shavings, there are no additives or binders used during the production process, It is the lignin in the wood and the extreme pressure in production that makes a natural binder, making this product “Clean And Green”. 

Golden Coal Heat Logs also have the advantage that they are clean to handle and store and gives off a nice golden flame then a golden glow with lots of heat. The ash can even be used on the garden as fertiliser once burned.

Golden Coal Heat Logs can not be classed as smokeless because they are made from wood however, they do burn very clean, once a fire is up to working temperature there should be very little if any smoke, this is due to the very low moisture content of the product.

Durham Heat Logs briquettes do not spit and spark unlike conventional logs so are much safer to use as a fuel for open fires, however any fire should be treated with extreme care.
