James Wellbeloved Adult Small Breed with White Ocean Fish & Rice Complete Hypoallergenic Dog Food

Do you have a small dog with a big personality who can be a bit of a fussy eater? Well, now there's a new Small Breed dog food from James Wellbeloved, that's been created just for them.

From lively Lhasa Apsos to high-spirited Shih Tzus, small dogs are well known for having big personalities. They also have very specific nutritional needs. That's why James Wellbeloved has developed a new food variety to meet the exact nutritional requirements of small breed dogs aged six months and over.

Small breeds are classified as dogs that weigh less than 10kg when they are fully grown adults. They tend to have high energy requirements, so James Wellbeloved have made the James Wellbeloved Small Breed variety more energy dense than our other Adult versions. Small Breed dogs can be fed the standard James Wellbeloved puppy formulas, but James Wellbeloved Small Breed Adult food is created to be highly palatable, and comes in small kibbles, perfectly suited for the smallest of mouths and the fussiest eaters!

Of course, as it's James Wellbeloved food, the Small Breed range does not contain any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. It is also natural and hypo-allergenic, benefiting small breed dogs with skin and digestive sensitivities, and we have also added some extra ingredients, specifically to benefit the health of the diminutive dog.

A common problem in small breeds is urinary tract infections. To help protect against this, we've added cranberry extract. This contains a substance that attaches to certain bacteria, preventing them from sticking to the body's cells and causing an infection, which allows them to be easily and harmlessly flushed from the body.

Small dogs can also suffer from dental problems. Miniature mouths can mean crowded teeth, bad breath, inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) and periodontal disease, which is caused by plaque and can affect the gums and connective tissues between root and tooth socket. Regular dental care is, of course, essential, but we've added green tea extract, which can also help keep mouths healthy. Green tea contains catechins, which are a natural antioxidant that have been shown to kill the bacteria associated with canine plaque formation  resulting in sweeter breath and cleaner teeth. This may also help in the prevention of other serious illnesses as the bacteria that cause dental disease have been linked with diseases of the heart, kidneys and immune system.
