How do I know my horse needs minerals and vitamins?

1. In different weather conditions, when sick or at different times of year all animals need different amounts of minerals. How else can you give them what they need when they cannot choose themselves?
2. If your horse starts eating soil or bark or wood he or she is definitely seriously imbalanced and needs a supplement straight away.
3. Is your horse always getting ill? The likelihood is that dietary imbalance is behind it and he or she needs lots of minerals.
