Equine Health Tranquil E - Horse Supplements (Size: 1 L)

Tranquil is based on valeriana officinalis, one of approximately 200 species of valerian worldwide. The first references to valerian go back many centuries, but it wasn't until the 18th century that it had been firmly established as a treatment for nervous disorders and as a general calmer.

Use Tranquil as a natural calmer where excessive high spirits and specific unmanageable conditions can lead to control problems. Schooling and discipline alone are not enough. Medication of some sort is invariably necessary - Tranquil will naturally calm the horse or pony without removing the competitive edge.

Use Tranquil in any situation, but particularly prior to any activity that may cause stress. For example, many horses and ponies become very stressed when being transported. Tranquil, if given 1-2 days prior to the horse being moved, and again on the day of activity, will NATURALLY calm the animal.

Tranquil is particularly useful if trying to school a difficult or obstinate horse or pony. Use 1-2 days before schooling commences, and then each morning of the schooling day. If a horse or pony is permanently 'fizzy' use Tranquil as a preventative, with a daily maintenance dose. This will help calm the horse and act as an aid in discipline and schooling.

Severe weather, loud noise, sudden movement, different surroundings can all produce stress and anxiety in some horses and ponies. Tranquil should be given regularly to horses and ponies that react unfavourably in the above mentioned conditions.
