The Charles Owen APM Skull Cap Riding Hat is a specialist product whose design has been led by the legendary Champion Jockey AP McCoy. The harness is made of the softest leather and is perforated for breathability and to combat sweat build up. The harness has been widened to increase protection of the facial area which incorporates protective impact absorbing padding, whilst still retaining a slim line appearance.
The harness at the nape of the neck has been dropped lower down but not far enough to interfere with the position of the head and neck. This section also contains an impact absorbent panel to BETA Level 1 Body Protector Standard.
The APM is ventilated with four small discreet apertures. The supersoft headband is embedded with high tech silver ions, providing built-in antimicrobial protection, keeping the helmet hygienic and free from smells.
It is also popular item of headwear for eventers.
